St. James's Park is London's oldest Royal Park, and the most visited. It's the famous setting for many royal ceremonies, from the daily Changing the Guard outside Buckingham Palace to the full pageantry of Trooping the Color on Horse Guards Parade in early June. St James's Park is a 23-hectare urban park in the City of Westminster, central London. A Royal Park, it is at the southernmost end of the St James's area, which was named after a once isolated medieval hospital dedicated to St James the Less, now the site of St James's Palace. Today St James's Street contains several of London's best-known gentlemen's clubs (such as Boodle's, Brooks's, the Carlton Club and White's), some exclusive shops and various offices.
