Trafalgar Square is the most famous of all of London's squares. Trafalgar Square may not be green, but it is a focal point for London to gather and mark important events. There are a lot of things to do in Trafalgar Square. It is a popular tourist attraction, with around 4 million visitors each year. The square is surrounded by large buildings and monuments, including the National Gallery and Canada House. There are also many statues on display there which are popular among tourists. Trafalgar Square is a wonderful place to visit, to have a coffee and take in the sights and sounds. The weather was lovely which helped a lot. Take note of the fourth plinth as it changes from time to time! One of the biggest, best and most important squares and gathering places in London. Admiral Horatio Nelson who was the hero of the Battle of Trafalgar. This monument was designed by William Railton. The statue of Nelson, who died in this battle, is made out of Craigleith Sandstone. It stands on a Corinthian Column.
